The Visayan Microbiologist is the official newsletter of the PSM Visayas Regional Chapter. Every year, atleast one issue is being released during the convention or conference. For the years 1997 to 1999 and years 2003-2005, Prof. Ernie Elefan of Central Philippine University was appointed as Editor-in-Chief of the newsletter. For the year 2001-2002, Brummel John D. Vargas of UP in the Visayas was the Editor-in-Chief. More than ten issues of The Visayan Microbiologist have been released as of 2006.
